Angry killing simulators & whatnot

Okay, I finally have something new to show. This is something that I am finally sure I will finish. Mostly because even in the event of ridiculous, unexpected delays, I think this would still be something worth coming back to =]

You should turn up the volume a bit. The sound in the first half of the video was recorded via stereo mix (including the music i happened to be listening to), and the volume was low while i was recording:

Video Link

(A high quality option doesn't seem to have appeared, but the small text at the start says "</lie>")

I was planning on doing something like this once i actually had some artwork together, but today I had some viral headache (along with the rest of my family) and was incapable of doing anything more complicated than slapping a lazy video together. I'll update this with new information soonish, but this is it for now =]

Art-related Crap

So i'm working on another big-assed game now. Technically i should be working on some other game as well (an awesome animator approached me with an idea and i actually listened for once... though only cause it was fairly simple), but the animator dissapeared off the face of the earth a few weeks ago & so i lost interest =|

We'll probably carry on with it as soon as he resurfaces, but yeah. Anyway, the first one i mentioned... I have a working engine at least, and pags is back onboard to make sprites & stuff again, but we've still yet to properly clarify exactly what we're doing. We haven't settled on characters or a storyline or anything yet, and i still haven't completely figured out the scope of the game (haven't settled on exactly which features are going to be implemented).

As a basic outline; there's going to be lots of shooting, lots of blood, lots of destruction and lots of particles flying around. Also, i honestly do plan on getting a story of some sort figured out this time around, and it will hopefully be very dark (as will the game in general).

Stuff Crap

I finished college permanently at the end of june (last exam), and now i'm completely free until october o.O

Also, Stone has made & released a new game with a programmer called Syruplord, and to be honest it's actually quite ace. I'm a sucker for mass carnage, as people might have noticed... [City Smasher]

I read some article on CVG (apparently from PC Gamer) t'other day about an old game called Shogo MAD, and honestly the ground-based FPS portion of it is almost EXACTLY what a single player FPS should be like in my opinion, and i'd never really seen it done that way. There was me waiting for someone to do it, and someone already had in 1998. You can find the demo for it here (which is how i played it): [LINK]

Faeces Crap

I'm BORED and have hardly been out of the house v.v

Oh well.
